We were engaged to improve this large Edwardian house containing five flats, extending both to the rear and in the loft, where we created a stunning penthouse loft apartment. By adding a "piggyback" roof, we were able to maximise ceiling height and floor space, and even add a mezzanine study with views over the living space to the garden.
This large project involved a loft conversion that also extended over the outrigger housing two bedrooms, a dressing room and bathroom. On the ground floor, the conservatory was replaced with a rear extension and the side return in-filled to create an enlarged kitchen/diner. The first floor outrigger was also extended over this. Zinc cladding was combined with folding doors and windows at all levels to create a modern, light and airy home.
We have recently taken on this project in New Malden. Check back for updates as the project progresses.
The brief was to replace an ageing 3m conservatory with a modern 4m rear extension. We also incorporated what was originally the side garage, adding folding doors both externally (to connect to the garden) and internally, allowing it to either be part of the main living space or separated. Folding windows allowed the kitchen to also connect with the garden without sacrificing all the usable wall space.

Kingston Architects were engaged to find a solution to adding a fourth storey to this locally listed building in Kingston's Park Road Conservation Area. The proposal added a mansard-style storey between the butterfly roofs, sloping back on three sides and clad in reflective material to minimise its visibility from the ground. This also brought the added benefit of being a "cooling" roof counteracting the urban heat island effect.
We have recently taken on this project extending the top floor of this two-level Edwardian maisonette in Mortlake Village. Check back for updates as the project progresses.

This project was to replace a rear conservatory and WC with a modern kitchen/diner, whilst also finding room for a utility, which we put on the side in the middle of the house to double-up as a mud-entrance with shower. To the rear, folding doors combined with continuous flooring and a walled patio work to create a fluid inside/outside space.

This three bedroom semi-detached home already had a rear extension, but the new owners required more space and an improved family living layout. The solution was a two-storey side extension combined with a loft extension to provide additional bedrooms.
